Authenticity is often mistaken for disclosure. For telling the truth loudly. For performing transparency so no one questions your intent. We do not treat it that way. FMCK holds authenticity as alignment between what is chosen and what is carried through—quietly, without display.
The ruling out is performance. We do not narrate motives. We do not share unnecessarily. We do not trade exposure for trust. If something is true, it does not need to be signalled. It needs to be lived.
Authenticity begins before action. In decisions made privately, without anticipation of credit. In standards upheld even when no one is watching. Not because they might be, but because they might not be. When someone lowers their voice instead of raising it. When they walk away from something they could justify. When they decline to justify at all.
The margin detail is tone when saying no. Not the words. The tone. Whether it carries defensiveness. Whether it invites approval. Whether it shifts in case someone is listening.
